Time Capsule Vintage Martin
Looking for a special vintage Martin or maybe even a birth year guitar? This delightfully clean 1965 000-18 is all original, and freshly serviced by a top luthier. The original chipboard case still has some old string packets and picks in the neck pocket.
This vintage Martin surfaced in unmodified, excellent condition with the original open back Grover tuners, bridge and bridge plate. The original lacquer finish shows only minor wear from light use and handling. On the side rim of the upper bout you’ll notice a rub mark from going in and out of the case. The original frets are full height with no wear evident. Very little luthier work was required, only the routine neck reset and typical pickguard crack repair. No other cracks were identified and the action is properly set to factory specifications to provide an effortless playing experience.
Martin’s 000-18 model offers tone and projection without the size of a dreadnought, and makes an excellent choice as a primary acoustic guitar for diverse musical styles. Even if you weren’t born in 1965, you can still enjoy the sweet sound of this amazing 000-18.
