Vintage Gibson SG Special
Gibson built this SG Special in 1964 so it still has the 1 11/16″ nut width, along with the rare optional Polaris White finish. Original factory solder joints partially cover the potentiometer date codes but you can make out enough digits to date the guitar to 1964, and see that the pickups and electronics are unmodified. The wide bevel truss rod cover and original nylon nut help confirm the date.
Unlike so many vintage SG body Gibsons, this guitar is intact and unbroken. It has survived without any repairs or modifications in all original condition. The factory white finish has ambered ever so slightly from age and shows lacquer checking and light wear. Includes the original chipboard case with Gibson logo and an old hippie guitar strap. The original frets are intact and show no significant wear, and the original P-90 pickups sound fantastic.
