Original Owner 1959 Gibson ES-225TD

This one owner Gibson surfaced locally here in Florida. I popped the latches of the original pink-lined hard case to find a time-capsule ES-225TD with the original Bobby Lee strap, still strung with an ancient set of silk-wrapped flatwound strings. The factory order number stamped inside the treble side F hole starts with the letter S, confirming the magical 1959 year of production.

Desirable two pickup model with the same electronics as a Les Paul Special. The loop end strap goes around the headstock, so no strap button was ever added. The original switch tip crumbled but I was able to salvage one of the larger chunks for provenance and replaced it with a replica tip. That’s the only changed part on the entire guitar, even the frets are factory original. Professionally set up to play great. The complete package: great tone, top notch condition and loads of fun to play.
