One Owner Vintage Fender Jaguar
This vintage pre-CBS Fender Jaguar was purchased recently from the niece of the original owner in Chicago. She had inherited his music gear, hi-fi and record collection. She recalled that when she was a little girl, she would listen to her uncle play this guitar along to the record player in the basement, and dance along to the music. He only played his Jaguar for a couple of years and then put it away with its coily guitar cord in the brown case.
This early production Jaguar has flatpole pickups, brown tolex case, clay dot fingerboard inlays, and a serial number that predates the L plate series. The neck date is June 1963, and the pot codes are stamped 20th week of 1963. The neck pocket is fully painted, correct for this period right before Fender switched to the “paint stick”.
The original owner left his Jaguar 100% original with no modifications or repairs. Aside from the finish imprint on the upper back from the coil cord and some light wear the condition is wonderful. The unfaded original sunburst finish is gorgeous with wide bands of black and red. The original frets are full height and the solder joints are untouched. Professionally set up and strung with a set of silk-wrapped flatwound Pyramid strings.
