Early Round Neck National Tricone Resonator
Open the lid of the original Geib hard case to reveal a gleaming, all original engraved Style 2 National tricone with engraved coverplate. Round neck tricones are rare, especially higher style engraved guitars. This early model circa 1928 features the smooth cones and is in exceptional condition. The shiny German Silver finish shows off the elaborate engraving pattern – a work of visual art as well as musical.
Flaws are minimal, with a rub mark on side of lower bout, and light wear on back of neck. The original frets are in excellent shape and the original engraved Waverly tuners are in fine working order. The setup is optimized for a roundneck resonator, perfect for hybrid fingerstyle slide playing. The sound is magical with a clean and haunting voice capable of so much more than just blues. A rare gem that will satisfy both your collector and musical needs.
