One Owner 1966 Martin 00-18

In 1966, a young woman walked into her local music store in Fayetteville, Arkansas and bought this Martin guitar to strum with her friends. At that time, folk music was booming in the United States. Simon & Garfunkel reached the peak of their fame, folk festivals took place across the land, and young people gathered to listen and make their own music. This guitar was her ticket to the campfire gatherings and parties, and she took wonderful care of her perfectly-sized Martin through the years until now.

This one-owner Martin acoustic remained free from cracks and modifications. The guitar required only a neck reset to play within factory specification with low action after 60 years. No other repairs were required. This Martin remains in beautiful condition with a rub mark on the upper bout as the main cosmetic flaw. Although the frets are original and nearly full height, you can see some fingernail wear in the open position of the fingerboard. It was played by a young woman, after all. The guitar sounds wonderful and includes a more recent hardshell case that fits properly.
