Old Factory Martin D-18
This extremely clean mahogany and spruce D-18 dreadnought was produced by Martin in 1961 at their old factory, before the rise of Bob Dylan and before the folk music boom would catapult the acoustic guitar to the forefront of American culture. The kick and volume of the iconic D-18 makes a great guitar for folk jams and singalongs, and you can imagine what this one must have seen living through the 1960’s.
Back in the present day, the neck has just been reset and a few bits of maintenance repair work carried out including reinstalling the original Kluson tuners, regluing the bridge, and repairing a tiny side crack. Includes the original Victoria Luggage hardshell case in very nice condition. The original natural finish glows with a golden hue and it sounds divine.
