Vintage Hawaiian Guitar
The National String Instrument Corporation built this Polychrome finish Triolian model in 1930 at their Los Angeles factory. National invented the metal-bodied resonator guitar and it remains the gold standard to this day. The Triolian model features a bound fingerboard, stable maple neck, and multicolor painted finish with Hawaiian sunset scenery on the back.
This particular Triolian has survived for nearly a century with only minimal edge wear and no dents worth noting. All parts remain factory original, including the delicately engraved tuners, resonator cone, and frets. The original polychrome finish shows vibrant colors with pops of red, blue, and green over the yellow base coat.
With no history of prior repairs, only a neck reset was required to bring the setup back to factory specification. The Triolian delivers sweet Hawaiian music or harsher blues licks with an authoritative voice and plenty of volume. Includes a more recent vintage hard case that fits guitar well.
